- Plants produce large (10 - 16 ounce) pleated teardrop shaped fruits. This beautiful tomato comes from Northern Italy where it is traditionally used as a saucing or roasting tomato. These meaty tomatoes are also excellent sliced and eaten raw. Harvest is somewhat concentrated in the mid to late season.
